What You Can Expect
* Vision Quest — A note for those participating (optional)
The Vision Quest is a ceremony of solitude, prayer, and spiritual renewal. It is a voluntary and deeply personal practice. Those who choose to participate will begin at sundown on Day 1 and will be welcomed back into the circle on Day 4.
A Vision Quest asks a person to step away from the noise of everyday life — to sit with themselves, with the land, and with the spirit. It is not a test of endurance. It is an act of listening.
Participants are supported throughout by Greg and the ceremonial team. No prior experience is required, only respect, readiness, and a willingness to be present with what arises.
If you are considering participating in the Vision Quest, please reach out to Greg directly before the gathering so he can offer guidance and answer any questions.

THE SILENCE | Greg Murdock, Good Running Bear, is a member of Fisher River Cree Nation. His journey began in spirit — but as a child taken to residential school, that spirit was wounded. For years, he carried that pain alone. That pain is now known as trauma.
THE VOICE | In his late teens, a meeting with a nun changed his life. She did not offer solutions. She listened. In that sacred exchange, Greg began to speak his truth. That relationship helped him reconnect with his spirit and begin a life of sobriety, healing, and purpose.
THE CEREMONY | At 52, during a Sundance ceremony in northern Saskatchewan, Greg experienced a profound awakening. His culture was not something to learn — it was something to remember. That day, he truly came home.
THE GUIDE | Now Greg offers his life's wisdom in the form of presence, knowledge, and experience. He hosts sharing circles, conducts ceremony, and walks beside others until they can walk on their own.
